About Me

"No man is an island" is a true statement - whether  we are surrounded by too many people or feeling lonely, we are still impacted by our environment and our interpretation of that environment. Having a perfect week or a perfect life is a great goal but challenges are a natural part of life.  We can't always control the events or people around us. But we can choose how we interpret and react to events and people. My goal is to work with you to help you enjoy your life and feel good about yourself.

The focus of both Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Rational  Emotive Behavior Therapy is to help people find more enjoyment and less stress in their lives by changing their interpretation and reaction to what might be negative events.  We will work together to help you understand and overcome your own issues  and develop the tools you need to move forward in a positive manner.

In addition to my education and training, I bring knowledge from my personal life as a single career woman, now a wife and mom, (to two grown children) as well as having been a caretaker for an elderly parent, part of the "sandwich generation." I love my work and take it very seriously. I  also try to exercise on a regular basis - which in the warmer months definitely  includes working in my garden and swimming. Being with my family and friends is always a great joy. Life can get very hectic and be stressful but it is important to take the time to slow down, think about the good in  in our life,  and have feelings of gratitude. Enjoy the little things.

I will work with you, providing support and practical feedback to help you successfully address the challenges you are experiencing. My approach is personalized and compassionate, recognizing and respecting the uniqueness of each individual, couple, and family. Together we will build on your strengths, helping you to attain your goals in a supportive, stress free, and private environment.

I specialize in secure, HIPAA compliant telecounseling, using the site Thera-Link, which is very user friendly. Please enjoy the comfort and privacy of telehealth - a stress free experience in a place of your choosing while I am in the privacy of my office.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please contact me if you would like a cost free 15 minute phone consultation to see if I am a good fit for you.
