About Me

Inge Schnee I have over 20 years of experience helping people feel happier and more content with their lives. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I offer a special understanding of the impact of personal relationships in our lives. Marriage and Family Therapists often primarily treat individuals but do so from a perspective that includes the person's early years, as well as their present and past relationships and environment; including community, career, and school.

My extensive employment experience (in addition to my private practice) includes helping families resolve issues involving parent child conflict, depression, social anxiety, school avoidance and peer relatonships. When meeting with couples, my primary focus is to enrich and strengthen the relationship. I've also had the opportunity to provide individual, group, and family therapy to chronically ill patients and their families in a hospital setting, learning that everyday people in their daily lives, facing and overcoming the challenges that life presents, are truly heroic.

Certified in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, I am successful  helping adolescents resolve the issues they may be facing in school, at home, or among friends. I enjoy their honesty and energy, as well as their readiness to challenge! Teens, and young adults are experiencing increasing levels of stress and uncertainty - often impacted by immediate events in their environment as well as the entire world now open to them through the internet .

In addition to my education and training, I bring knowledge from my personal life as a single career woman, now a wife and mom, as well as having been a caretaker for an elderly parent, part of the "sandwich generation." The combination of my extensive professional background and real life experiences has made me very effective helping clients resolve the challenges they are presently facing, develop the skills to effectively cope with future issues, and have a happy, fulfilling life.

I will work with you, providing support and practical feedback to help you successfully address the challenges you are experiencing. My approach is personalized and compassionate, recognizing and respecting the uniqueness of each individual, couple, and family. Together we will build on your strengths, helping you to attain your goals in a supportive, stress free, and private environment.
